About us
"Grand Hotel Moika 22" is located in a historic 1853 mansion facing Palace Square and the Hermitage Museum.
The team adheres to the canons of European hospitality (until 2022, the grand hotel operated under the Kempinski brand).
Most rooms offer views of Palace Square, the Hermitage, the General Staff Building, the Moika River embankment, the Singing Bridge, the Capella, the Church of the Savior on Spilled Blood, and from the 9th floor — home to the Bellevue restaurant — a panorama of the entire historic center of St. Petersburg.
The collection of antiques impresses guests from the first minutes inside the hotel, while authentic masterpieces of painting, vintage photographs, and 17th–19th century engravings in every room and guest area create an atmosphere reminiscent of the aristocratic homes of imperial St. Petersburg.
Grand Hotel Moika 22 has long become a kind of club for the art community: it hosts celebrations of premieres, exhibition openings, and festival launches and closings. The Tea Lounge on the mezzanine has become a full-fledged art and exhibition space. In the Von Witte bar — named after Vasily Von Witte, the architect of the historic building — there are also art exhibitions, lectures, and musical programs; the best jazz pianists of St. Petersburg improvise on a vintage Tokyo grand piano. And in summer, on the terraces of the Bellevue restaurant, a secular vegetable garden is planted — a project of the Imperial Gardeners' Club, created in collaboration with the Peterhof State Museum-Reserve.
