Erarta
Erarta is the first museum of contemporary art in St. Petersburg and the largest private museum of contemporary art in Russia.
The museum's collection includes works created by Russian artists in the second half of the 20th and early 21st centuries. The collection comprises 2,800 items — paintings, graphic art, sculpture, objects, installations. The museum periodically expands its collection by collaborating with artists working in different regions of Russia and representing different generations and movements in visual art. The Erarta Museum of Contemporary Art has been repeatedly included in the list of interesting attractions by the world's largest travel guide, Lonely Planet, ranked among the top ten museums in Russia by tourist portals, noted by National Geographic as one of the top five must-visit museums in St. Petersburg, and became the first contemporary art museum in the country to be featured on the Culture Project.
