Faberge Museum

Faberge Museum
On November 19, 2013, the official opening ceremony of Russia's first non-governmental Faberge Museum took place at the Shuvalov Palace in St. Petersburg. The founding organization of the museum is the cultural and historical foundation "Connection of Times", founded in 2004 by Viktor Vekselberg with the aim of returning lost cultural values to Russia.

The project to create a number of museums in Russia dedicated to the work of the great jeweler Carl Faberge appeared at the Svyaz Vremya Foundation after Viktor Vekselberg acquired a unique collection of Faberge works collected by Malcolm Forbes in 2004. Starting from this moment, the foundation began to form a collection of Russian decorative, applied and fine arts. To date, it has more than 4,000 items of storage and, in terms of its size, typological diversity and the highest quality of works, many of which belonged to the imperial family and other representatives of the monarchical courts of Europe, is undoubtedly one of the best in the world.
